That's alright Corny, it's within tolerance for dual-voltage appliances. 🙂

Did you know that in WA, their mains voltage sometimes runs as high as 255VAC?

I suspect the point is that the machine most likely hasn't been certified for use in Australia.

Which means when it burns the buyer's house down the insurance company will not pay out.

I'd pay the extra to have a coffee machine that is certified, runs on 240V, AND keep my house.

As high as 255 Volts, same here in rural Victoria.
