Hello,
If a seller makes as mistake and sends you the wrong size item, who should pay for the postage back? My transaction was an international transaction and the postage was $50, I as the buyer, I dont think I should not be burndened with this cost as the mistake was not mine. If I send it back return to sender? And the package does not arrive, then whos responsibility is that?
Thank you

It is the responsibility of the buyer to return an item by on line trackable post to the seller. But a good seller will refund that postage if it was their fault.
Do not use Return To Sender...if the seller does not accept it you have no proof of sending in the event of a paypal dispute.

first, always contact the seller - do they acknowledge the mistake? Maybe you will be surprised at how helpful a seller can be
and I think it would depend on the item - is it something you could re-sell easily yourself?
$50 is a lot of postage, I would want the seller's assurance that it would be refunded I reckon.

By 'return to sender' do you mean just wrapping it back up and writing "Return to Sender" on it without paying any postage? If you do, then what makes you think that Australia Post would accept this package for carriage back overseas? I would question what customs services in overseas countries wouold make of it as well.
How much did the original item cost? Exactly how much would it cost to post it back to the seller? (If you do not know then find out). It may be that PayPal would not require you to return the item if the cost of doing so exceeds the value of the item.
