Some time ago Ebay had a site that give buyers a chance to have a last minute bid on all auction. OR it may have been items with no bids were on offer..Thanks Tony

there are several sites that will bid for you in the last seconds (or minute) of any auction
they are not run by eBay but are private sites
google eBay sniping software
such names as glixen .... etc wil show

Given that you have multiple unpaid strikes against your account (at least 8 in the last 6 months), you may find a sniping tool isn't of much use to you as a lot of sellers will have blocks on their account that will prevent you buying.

I know that 'things happen', just not sure they can happen that many times in 6 months! If you do buy something and then change your mind, send the seller a message and tell them you've made a mistake. Any half decent seller will send a request for you to cancel. That way they don't have to chase you for money, you don't get any more strikes and everyone's happy. It's a lot less stressful for everyone. It doesn't take long for word to get around about bad buyers who buy and then don't pay, meaning your eBay experience could be short lived.
I hope you also have a great day tomorrow!!

I think you are too kind hearted.![]()
If a multiple non payer bid on any of my goods (not that I am selling on ebay these days, but hypothetically), there is no way I would send them a chance to cancel the sale, I would put in a non payment dispute. End of story.
I haven't a clue what the person's date of birth is but if he considers himself an adult, old enough to drive, drink, vote and register on ebay, then he is old enough to read up on some of the ebay rules before he bids & old enough to learn from his mistakes.
Fair enough, people do make mistakes and I could understand maybe a couple at first, but I am afraid 8 or more in 6 months is just too many and the person wouldn't be making any more at my expense. I'd be hitting back and then maybe they would have to open yet another account.

I'm just grateful that I have blocks in place to stop the serial offenders like that. There's a chance it's even more than 8 non payments, I only noticed 8 feedbacks where sellers had mentioned it. As we know, not all sellers (probably most) don't leave a false positive.
I guess it has answered a question that has been asked before.....it seems buyers can have as many non payment strikes against their account as they like and eBay does nothing to stop them.....apart from sellers being able to set blocks.
I thought it better to be nice because what I really wanted to say would have landed me a detention again.

I vaguely remember something where you could see only auctions that were ending in a minute or so, a couple of years back. Is that what you mean? If so, the nearest thing to that now is when you have done a search, under "sort", pick time ending soonest.
