Hi,
Bought an item from a local seller and paid by bank tranfer.
Immediately after I marked the item as payment sent.
The next day I still get: Looks like....
A decent db programmer can't be afforded by ebay?

Never ever pay by bank deposit, you have no buyer protection at all if you do. I hope it wasn't for too much money.
What is the item number? (RHS of the listing page)
Edit. By the way you are registered in Belgium and are on the Australian boards.

If you pay by bank transfer it an often take a few days for the seller to receive the cleared payment. The fact that you have marked it as paid means nothing to ebay....only the seller can mark that they have received the payment. Until the seller has marked it as paid ebay will still send out automatic payment reminders.

Ebays db works just fine, unfortunately some users have dificulty understanding how the whole system works.

users having difficulties... the exact definition of poor db design

You didn't complain about difficulties. You complained about a logical and necessary part of the design that you didn't understand.

Since some time my cathegories line looks like this:
All Categories (59)- Selected Records (19) CDs (4) Vinyl (3) CDs (2) Non-Fiction (2) Nonfiction (2) Records (2) CDs (2) CDs (2) Postcards (1) Sheet Music & Song Books (1) Heim-Audio & HiFi (1) Magazines (1) Photographic Images (1) CD's (1)
Apparently adding up the Cds is to difficult, Non-Fiction is not the same as Nonfiction.
Have to scroll to get to the end of the line to select BIN, view other items...
Brilliant design is definitely what comes to mind.
Another one:
When selecting 'View seller's other items' the list is emty. If I however log in to the site the seller is registered at, e.g. ebay.fr,
then I get a full list.
Ofcourse it is me that doesn't understand the brilliance of the design.

Since you're registered in Belgium, wouldn't it be better for you to have this winge on their Community boards? Who knows, maybe the setup is different there to here.

That would be because that seller doesn't sell to your country. If they only sell to their own country, then the items will only appear on their own country's website, not the one you are using.
