won an item today and pressed the 'pay now' button.
no shift to the various pages, before going to PP sign in.
no log into PP.
just clicked on make payment button and went to the thanks for your payment page.
is this new, so used to going through several pages before loging into PP to make payment befor being returned to ebay.

I made a purchase on Monday and got a strange looking payment page. I thought maybe the page didn't load properly so hit the back button and then pay now again. Same page. The seller had numerous payment options and took me a minute to find the PayPal option. I was asked to login. Can't remember if it was on the main page or in the pop up. I didn't like that there was no review page.
I wasn't real fussed on it. I'll have to take more notice next time as I was on the hop when I made the purchase.

maybe ebay has hired a new go getter type in the programming dept and he or she is 'fixing' things.
looks like he or she has moved on to fixing the listing/relisting department as that screwed up now.

I have had this on my UK account for a while but I had to opt in. A I only ever use my UK buying account over here and it links dirct to my UK Paypal account I don't have a problem with it, when I (rarely) buy something one click and it is paid for.
I must say I have never thought about changing payment method, I always use Paypal, or funding source as I only have one here.
It could be a problem for me in Aus though. Has anyone actually asked ebay and/or Paypal if there is a way of opting in and out of the new system?

It sounds like other's checkouts may be different to the one I get on both my accounts...
Can others confirm for me if what they see matches what my checkout(s) look like? I've included the URL in the screen shot because it clearly shows this is a redirected checkout to the mobile version, not the actual site checkout.
I'm also seeing an increase in buyers paying for items separately - probably why eBay did it, if it's happening across many accounts.

Sort of Digi, but with the top cut off.
My page starts at the paypal option but it is very squeezed up....almost off the page,
The CC card option is preticked and has all the fields to be filled in such as Mastercard or Visa, card number etc....all spread out to catch your eye and make you miss the PP option.
I did not notice any option to change the delivery address but must admit I had no reason to look as I was using my usual delivery address.
I had no Order Total box on the right hand side....that was all at the bottom of the page....a nuisance to scroll down to see it.

Thanks lyndal - when I first noticed my checkout was like this, I started using my selling account to buy as they hadn't fiddled with that, now that one's being redirected too,
I found a thread from a year or two ago (US boards) where some pepole complained about the same thing and they had to get eBay to manually fix their account, so I think I might bombard them until they fix both mine (I wouldn't be surprised if the change was deliberate, but I'll be darned if I'll accept it as permanent ).

If it is the mobile version as you have pointed out Digi I am a bit annoyed.
Why do we all have to pander to the members who don't use a computer?
If it can be changed by badgering ebay I will get in line....I am sure there will be plenty of members wanting to go back to the form that they are familiar with.
