Hi All,
I won the bidding on a playstation 4 with two games on friday I immediteatly paid the seller through paypal and sent him a message letting him know the payment has been made. I also emailed him yesterday (Monday) asking when does he think he will post it. I have heard noting back from the seller this is my first purchase on ebay and i know it has only been a few days but im a little concerned as it was for a substantial amount of money. Im just wondering has anyone else had any problems with sellers who they have bought a PS4 off.
Thanks

Did you read the sellers postage details as to when they will post the item after they receive your payment as this could be up to 3 business days and maybe more and then you have to take into account how long it will take to have it delivered, looking at it I think that your item probably wont be posted until friday so you might then receive it anywhere between 5-9 days after that depending on the postal service requested. You need to give it more time before you start hassling the seller,so if you don't receive it after 2 weeks from the date it gets sent then put in for an item not received claim. And I hope that you are having it posted with tracking + signiture at least? And if you paid with PayPal then you needn't worry as you can get your money back if anything goes wrong.

Seller says free express postage in time for Christmas. So I would expect that your item shld have been posted (check your purchase history). Their feedback as a seller is not good (only one sale without comment). Buyer feedback can only be 100% these days so does not count. I wld lodge a Item Not Received with Paypal and I think that will jolt the seller into action. Yes, you have paid a lot of money for this and Paypal is your friend if something is not right. He has been on a buying spree so your dollars has helped him to pay for his purchases. I think that Paypal will, however, freeze his account if you lodge a dispute. Should get his attention.

Why would that be of any interest to the buyer? They have all the protection they need from using Paypal, it is the seller that needs to be able to prove they have sent the item.
If the seller is following correct procedure they will be posting with a road only sticker on the parcel, that coupled with the usual delays over Christmas means I wouldn't expect it to arrive in anything under three weeks.
Just keep an eye on the date and if it hasn't arrived within 4 weks of having made payment open an item not received dispute in Paypal, escalate to a claim after a week if still no item or valid tracking number from the seller.

Didn't realise seller said free postage in time for Xmas,so unless it was posted as an overnight delivery then there is no way it would have turned up by Xmas

Sorry but you are almost certainly the victim of a scam. Shows all the hallmarks.
- Low FB seller, FB accumulated primarily by buying low value items (judging by what his sellers sell).
- Sells multiple high value items in a short period.
- Offers free express postage (not in itself evidence of a scam but it's a method they often use).
- Why would you open a brand new item (with receipt) to "test" it.
- As mentioned above, seller has gone on a recent spending spree.
You have to wait at least 7 days before you can lodge an item not received case so Friday will be the earliest. I'd be inclined to wait until the close of business on Monday just to give them the benefit of the doubt but unless you have received a satisfactory explanation before then, I'd open a dispute. You can request the sellers details through eBay and give them a call but I'd wager that the details are false anyway in which case report it to eBay and they will be deregistered and if you call Paypal they may even let you open a dispute earlier than the 7 days, I'm not quite sure as I haven't had to lodge a dispute in those circumstances.

BTW there is no tracking with Express. In addition Australia Post are not delivering after today until next Monday so unlikely that even if the parcel was posted yesterday which it should have been you will not see it until next week. HTH

No. or not to Paypal's satisfaction for general express satchels. I believe Platinum and added to standard parcels DO provide adequate tracking, but I have no experience in this.
