The seller can remove the pictures as soon as they like but ebay stores the actual listing for 90 days.
Have you got your Purchase History set to 60 days?

The site still shows up (minus the original photo) when I access the archive section, however there does not appear to be any way that i can bring up all the previous description & details of the item that was listed for sale on this page.I need this as evidence of the seller badly misrepresenting the item for sale & without it he may get away scott free!!

The purchase was definitely within the last 60 days? The image disappears from my purchase history as soon as the purchase is over 60 days old. One thing you can try is copy/paste the item number into the search bar and see if that pulls up the listing.

no,the purchase was more than 60 days, but less than 90,which i believe is the maximum time before it is removed .I may be wrong on the 90 day limit, however apart from the photo, therest of the heading is still there but nowhere to click on to make it show up in it's original full description. So frustrating!!!

If you paid by PayPal, there should be a clickable link on either your receipt or in your transaction history in your account - if you land on a page saying the info is no longer available, then only the few details showing in your purchase history would be available via eBay.
The one possible exception would be if the listing was multiple-quantity and is still active, or ended less than 60 days ago. If it is, you might be able to access your order details via the listing page.

Thank you digital ghost for your help.So i am wrong about the 90 days? Is it 60 days, and you can no longer access that site? No regretably no paypal. This was a smart cookie insisting on bank transfer.Incidently have any in the community heard of anyone privatelly suing a seller for fraud or misrepresentation & winning their case?I only hear cries of buyer beware etc,but do we let every crook get away as many times as he likes because we are too willing to let them in fear of losing even more? They know it & take full advantage of our fears,& i guess there must be millions of them out there making a killing out of the vunerable buyers with there highly appealable desciptions & cover up of major defects!! Have you been a victim & taken it to court? Can you tell us us of your experience & the outcome?

One last thing you could try...
Copy the full title to a google search, and make sure you use quotation marks (eg "insert title here").
If you get a hit, underneath the main blue link will be green words/links. Look for a small downwards arrow at the end and click it to see if there is a cached version of the listing stored on google.
Sorry I can't help with anything else, but I hope you get a good outcome.

Unless it was a very expensive item you will probably find that legal action will be just throwing good money after bad.
If you post the item number and title here you will probably find someone who can find the listing if it is still available at all.
