"Cancel request pending" Pending On Order

Hi all,

So 3 days ago I purchased an item and soon after realised that it was the incorrect type (automotive part). I quickly within a few hours lodged a cancellation request through eBay, since then the item has been sitting in my purchased section on my profile with a " Cancel request pending" status on it, eBay states that the seller will respond soon yet the seller still has not responded to the request yet. 

What is the procedure if the seller does not respond?

Just because you sent the cancel request within 24 hours, it doesnt mean the item hasnt already being packed and sent.

If they have sent it is poor customer service to have not have marked as sent and add tracking after 3 days.

I didnt say it was good customer service,  just that it is possible,  in particular if it is an overseas item with no tracking,
