"dog chewed the dress"

I have just won a dress and it is obvious that the seller didnt get the price she wanted for it. She sent me a message saying the dog chewed it up. When I immediately replied back and asked for a photo of the damage she said she threw it out. What options do I now have as far as negative feedback goes and I will be reporting her to ebay.

Cheers

Yes, I have to wait 7 days after the sale to give FB ~ ebay wont let me post feedback till then cause she is a PS. And, also, just so you know, I actually bid on the dress and won without KNOWING she originally had it for 120 ~ someone replying on here mentioned that. I have no idea how people know this. I am just a person bidding on a dress and came up against a dishonest seller.

Milly, open a new tab, look up to top right of ebay page, click on Advanced Search, look over to left, click on Items by Seller-enter sellers exact id in the box, tick show completed listings last 15 days & hit enter. Then you will see how she is in the habit of selling & relisting.

Another example is her Aztec dress-she is now up to the third time for relisting despite having already sold it.Wonder if she also told the last winner the dog chewed it.

Just a suggestion re feedback

'Seller said dress chewed by dog from pet free home'

Keep an eye on her future listings because I'd be willing to bet your dress is relisted at some point.

Re: "dog chewed the dress"

I think that the feedback needs to be given keeping in mind that many people may not have had the benefit of reading this thread, so they may not be able to join the dots.

Listing says pet free home. Seller couldn’t honour sale as dog chewed dress.

Re: "dog chewed the dress"

This is what I would do - do not leave the neg. Wait a few more days and when she relists the dress then comment:

"Seller said dog chewed up dress from pet free store - mysteriously relisted a week after"

Or something to that accord 🙂

Re: "dog chewed the dress"

someone should send the seller and eBay a link to this thread.

To let the seller know that they have been busted, and to show eBay that this seller does this kind of thing a fair bit.

Re: "dog chewed the dress"

Just getting back to the Aztec dress-um er why would you buy 2 from another seller at $84.99 each (free postage) back in July then start the bidding at $10,sell for $71 plus $13.85 postage AND copy the other sellers photo's ???

Here is the chewed dress sellers listing

Aztec Sequin Maxi Stunning Formal Chiffon Ball Gown Long Dress BNWT Medium S8-10

And here is the original sellers listing who is still selling

Elegant Evening Formal Prom Ball Gown White Chiffon Long Maxi Dress S M L XL#638

Re: "dog chewed the dress"

So let me get this straight - You have won a dress and now seller

does not want to sell it (to you) any longer and claims that it was chewed by a dog, and not a human being.
Reading some of the advice given on these boards the mind boggles.
1) Paying for an item that seller refuses to send in the order to leave negative feedback!!!
2) Conjecture over whether the item was chewd by dog, or simply seller would like a higher price for it!
3) Waiting for 7 days before leaving NF, would you not have got a perspective by then?
4) Paying for something that is clearly not going to be sent and then posting a smiley
face and glowing over receiving a refund!
For goodness sake, have you not heard of moving on and accepting of what you have been told ?
Or are you trying to prove a point? What is the point in that?
I'm practice Buddhism in my spare time, you do learn a lot about how to remove your self from suffering it can take longer then a week though!
I recently watched an Austintatious comedy show and highly recommended to all
bored Australians out there, I think the DVD could even be purchased second
hand on eBay!

foxette-in-sox Thank you so much for showing me all of this. I may have disappointingly been duped by a dishonest seller but I have learnt so much by this as far as ebay seller checks etc etc etc. You have all been really helpful. I really appreciate it. Thank you everyone. Heart

Re: "dog chewed the dress"

foxette-in-sox , I don't know how you find all of this but good on you 🙂 I wish I could copy and send all of this to ebay. I did send them a mesage about what happened and they did relpy saying that they looked into it and have taken action. But I wish they could see that she has done this for a long time, from what oyu are saying. x
