scammers

Be aware of criminals selling iLife robot vacuums for low prices even auctioning the items. I lost $43.00 to one iLife vacuum seller eBay removed the item said I hadn't paid when I had paid and it is listed on my bank statement as PayPal but there is no record in PayPal weird! Since this I have now reported almost 24 iLife vacuums being sold from locations in Australia for around $41.00. They have ALL been removed. Nobody sells that cheap here. Look out for new members. No feedback. Free postage in your country in this case Australia and state they will post with  with USA postal service it can't be. They do not answer emails. They get the money and run. eBay will not refund, PayPal will not refund only the bank will refund after a month. I have bought an iLife vacuum from a genuine seller and am completely happy with it. When you telephone all you get is telephone robots on eBay AND PayPal I got dizzy on PayPal and gave up.

eBay you have a big problem with these thieves and I am a long term buyer now scared to purchase anything on eBay. And you are so hard to make any sense when contacted. The easiest way to contact was a chat person and she told me to report the items. I said my time is valuable so it took me an eternity to report these items and I had to be away from my job all that time doing so. eBay you should remove the items yourself in emergencies. I probably saved you money customers and good sales. I also saved innocent people from being scammed, Did eBay say thank you. NO of course not. Just heartless souls that do not care. Well we the customers DO CARE because we are REAL PEOPLE and I care because I have lost my money!!!!!! If this problem is not fixed eBay will be losing thousands of customers.

Re: scammers

Ebay do not read these boards

Everyone here are members just like you. We do not have the abilty to remove listings, unless they an item we are selling

If you have indeed contacted ebay and paypal already, contact ACORN and see what they can advise

Have you asked for a call back and to speak to a supervisor? (ebay)

Who have you spoken to at paypal?

Have you tried getting a charge back from your bank?

Re: scammers

Plenty of scammers out there. Also watch out for kitchen products such as supposedly brand new thermomixes for about $600 (when they are over $2000) and any other major brand sold suspiciously cheaply-often with free postage included & like you said, by someone with low or no feedback.

I've noticed even when ads are pulled off ebay, the same ad seems to pop up under a different buyer/location name.

As long as you avoid those sorts of ads though, where prices are too good to be true, and stick to smaller items or sellers with a reasonable track record, you should be right.

If ebay says you have not paid and paypal has no record of payment it would appear that you have paid the seller directly....thankfully you used a credit card so can do a chargeback through your bank.   You have been scammed by a bogus seller, not by ebay or paypal.

If ebay has removed the listings then there is not much else they can do....they are protecting ebay members by doing this.  The fact that they are responding promptly to members reports of the bogus listings should not be held against ebay.  They cannot monitor every listing....they can only react to reports from members.

Not sure what telephone numbers you are using for ebay and paypal but I always get to speak to real people if I have occasion the ring either company.
