searching for items on ebay

 Well don't  know about  any  one else , but  now days  to find a item I know is listed  is   very hit and miss, or  will not even show   on my searches, ,used to be  quite simple , just type in what u look for  and  it all comes up !! , now not all the items appear  and  other item appear that are not related to my search , so how do you find  the items you look for on here any more , ,think eBay is going back wards very quickly , cant trust   what you put up now to be seen by  buyers you target it seems ??

Perhaps a more precise description is needed in the search.

Also go into advanced search and look at the various search refinements available.

A more targetted description often will not work as it seems Ebay is simplifying many of the search options we once had, No doubt to cull the staff numbers.

For instance when searching Laptops there is no longer many of the previous filter options available such as screen size, Ebay is becomming a bad joke if I cannot find what I want quickly with efficient searches by using filters specific to what I require then I give up and look elsewhere.

Ebay Management are effectively killing the Goose that lays the Golden Eggs by changes that seem to just make it harder to use Ebay, If they are not careful others will offer what we the customers want and we will be gone.

Many times I find Google better to search for something than directly on Ebay and often Google finds things that Ebay itself will not find if you search direct on ebay.

Steve, I have noticed that as well, it seems to rule out items relevant but without the additional info in search, they don't appear.

Unfortunately one needs to be clever to get desired results and naturally it shouldn't be needed.

Ah Kopes, don't we all just love those "improvements" that eBay implements for us all to make our eBay experience that much more fulfilling.....
