seller cancelled sale

i bought a dvd 2 days ago and just received a message from the seller saying they have cancelled the sale and refunded my money as they have non in stock but when i checked they still have them listed on ebay saying they have one left but selling it at 40 dollars more i have to reply to an ebay case if im happy with the seller refunding but im not happy also cant see my refund in paypal

If they refunded, you would have received email from PP.  I would open item not received case with PP immediately, and escalate to claim as soon as the option becomes available.  Do not close the case on promise, the case will close, when you get the refund.  Either the seller will refund, or PP will. 

I would also give him NEG with comment:

Would not send item, re-listed at double $

Do not mention PP or dispute (that is grounds for FB removal)

It sounds like they have sent you a mutual cancellation request to get their FVF back, just refuse to agree. I would then leave them a factual neg as suggested and if they do not refund your Paypal payment within 24 hours open an item not received dispute.

the seller has refunded my money i paid 24.95 for the dvd but they have relisted it for 74.95 is there anything i can do obviously they do have them in stock though their reason for cancelling my sale was they had non left

Most likely the seller is trying not to lose their placing in best match as they wait for more stock to arrive so they have changed the selling price to an unrealistically high price as they would not expect any one to buy it at the higher price.

You will probably find if the seller gets more stock in the price will go back to the normal selling price.

hi jen not sure about that, maybe he did but  when i bought the item it said there was  1 available and there was only one other person selling the same dvd for around 30 dollars all the others listed range in price from 45 to 99 dollars they also noted they had posted it to me the day after i bought it,  i have been trying to buy this dvd for a long time they just are not available anywhere ive been in adelaide maybe he saw how much more he could get for it so just cancelled my sale

ive rung ebay and put in a complaint
