Where do you report a seller that will not give a refund for a defective item until negative feedback is removed ???

 

This sort of dishonesty undermines all honest sellers on Ebay - I'm assuming there's someone that can do something about it.

Just curious, but is the defective item the sellers fault or not? I ask because many times a buyer will blame the seller is something is faulty, but it might go all the way back to the manufacturer, and not the seller. He/She is just trying to earn a living.

 

I get it all the time where I have had poor feedback because Australia Post delayed an order or lost it. It reflects poorly on our business yet we had no control over the error that occured and we always offer a refund or replacement...

 

In response to your question, I normally just google the answers I want, and it generally works.. Try it.... ๐Ÿ™‚

Yes, you can.

If you paid via PayPal, open a case for item not as described.

You will be asked to return the item at your cost via trackable means to get a refund of item plus initial postage costs.

Feedback extortion is a reportable offence and if you didn't pay by PayPal, explain to the seller you will only revise feedback once refund is given. (Then you can consider what feedback to leave depending on the overall service supplied)

 

But a seller does not need to refund for change of mind or because it doesn't suit your needs.

Only if it's faulty or Not as Described.

The seller of the phone only got negative feedback because my messages were ignored and still no refund two weeks after it was returned.

Never return without going through Paypal (if you paid that way).

 

Did you send my trackable means? Does it show as delivered?

 

If no, or you paid by bank deposit, you are at the mercy of the seller. Even if you revise feedback, I doubt you will get your money back.

 

As a general rule, phones are one of the things you DON'T buy here. Especially used ones.

 

The other neg you have left is similar. Open a dispute if you can, don't rely on the seller to do the right thing after a month.

One of the sellers you negged had feedback of below 99.5% so I wouldn't have bought anything that cost more than a couple of bucks from them. Their feedback would have been much worse if 98 numpties hadn't fallen for the refund for revision offer.

 

I am wondering how you managed to return a mobile phone to China? If you correctly declared the contents then AP should have rejected it. 

 

Unless you returned it with a qualifying method to an address given to you through Paypal you would not be able to get your money back through Paypal anyway unless you could persuade Paypal that it is impossible to return anything with a lithium battery unless you use a specialist courier who would charge upward of a hundred bucks to deliver it overseas but that would have to be before you returned it and after opening a Paypal dispute..

Feeback is about your experience with that seller,not because you got a refund.Just because i get a refund,a seller should not just assume i'm not going to give NEG.It depends on my dealing with them and the situation.If i was you just tell them you will,get the refund and then give them neg for being a thug.

I agree, so here is a refund for your neg. I don't think there is anything to report, if the OPs item was defective open a case with paypal, and possibly ebay.  How are they dishonest? Has anyone ever purchased an item from a B&M store and it didn't work?  They must be dishonest too. As ebay say though, it is the buyers experience/expectation, which I have found on many occations to be misplaced.
