Maybe you shouldn't of bought it until you got back.
Or paid for it and picked it up when you got back.

i was also told about 2 weeks ago that i would not be give a strike on this case as the seller was not happy to go through the deal
I'm afraid if you don't pay you will get a strike.

eber, Did you explain this to the seller PRIOR to buying ? Or did you buy it and go on Holidays and then decide to contact the buyer ? IMO you need to communicate with Sellers at bit better. If you don't pay, I'm afraid you will get a strike. That's how it works.

"i bought a gun safe seller wanted me to pay for the item but was going interstate so how was i going to get the gun safe"
Was it the Seller who was going interstate ?
Is it the Seller who stated on the listing that he/she wanted a Paypal payment before inspection and pick up of the safe ?
If yes, you can appeal the Unpaid Item strike using this link
http://pages.ebay.com.au/help/buy/appeal-unpaid-item.html
or you can phone ebay through Help and Contact at the top right of the page

I see it probably was the seller I mentioned
"reason for selling = moving interstate"

Why would the seller ask for payment if they were going interstate?

The listing showed Postage Free Local pick up
You can contact your seller to arrange to pay for and pick up your item.
The description said
reason for selling = moving interstate
PAYPAL PAYMENT MADE BEFORE ANY INSPECTION.
