I am stumped to what's going on here, first of all ebay adds in the usa reading, may not ship to Australia, next actually buying stuff there in the usa and having postal or should i say usps refusing to ship on both accounts, and not giving tangable reasons to the shipers on both accounts to why this is going on, now i have spent money and iam in limbo land without a paddle, i dont not want my money back i want my shipment shipped so now what do i do ????

USPS must have a reason. Maybe ask them. And if they won't ship it, there is a fair chance you are not going to get your shipment.
Any seller has a right to not ship to any country they choose. Given the cost of postage that complies with eBay seller protection, I imagine there would be quite a few US sellers who no longer ship to Australia. I exclude the whole world except for Australia, but I am open to negotiation, especially to NZ, where postage is only about double what it is within Australia.

Dear hq72hotmale,
Hi Wayne , I have a dilemma. I want to apologize as I am having an issue with the shipment I received a notice that stated the package was returned and the are holding it at the post office. I asked why they returned it but no one could explain why it was returned. Now I have a major problem they said they are going to refund the shipping amount but money would not arrive for 4 to 6 weeks. I can't afford to re ship the??? at this point. I spoke to a friend of mine it happened to twice in a row to him. I only have two options one is to wait for the refund and try to re send the ??? or relist the ??? so that I can refund you the whole amount, Now I can see why people have a hard time with sending packages overseas. Its crazy the post office does not even know the correct procedure as to how to send it. I hope you understand my situation as I tried my best and do not have those kind of funds to keep sending. I really tried and was excited that I thought it actually worked without any problems. Anyway if you would allow me to relist the ???? so that I may refund you I would appreciate it. I think this might be the best thing to do at this point. Then we can actually cancel the order once the money is refunded you. Once again i am so sorry for the mishap. Why it happened I can't explain as they gave me no reason as to why which does not make sense at all. I would appreciate your understanding in this awkward situation. Please let me know what you think so that I can re list the ???? with no delay so that I can refund l promptly. God Bless !!!!
this guy is clearly a decent seller but usps has screwed him and i over we can both potentially loose here along with the items i patiently waited for the ????? i have included above are for privacy along with me not including the sellers name as he has done nothing wrong here this is just to show you all what he was told by usps staff there

I don't know about any of the post-purchase issues with UPS, but I have found that 'may not ship to Australia' appears on listings when the seller doesn't ship to Australia (I can't remember what it used to say - perhaps it didn't refer to it in that way at all - but I noticed it for the first time a couple of months ago when I went to purchase something that I've bought before, but in the meantime the seller had excluded Australia from their shipping options. Not due to cost, item was in China and it was / is a free post item).

it was usps not ups and iam still awaiting reply from both sellers of what to do next as refund is my last option id rather have the items not lame ass excuses from postal services not doing their job properly or staff who can not be bothered to see shipments paper work is loged the correct way to begin with too much passing the buck for services we pay for

Well, for the two Italia items, both sellers specified that they did not post to Australia (although I presume you must have asked them if they would for you before purchasing.....otherwise I would suspect the postage troubles are a roundabout way to not cop any blame for not wishing to send to a country they stated they didn't want to. Both sellers are relatively inexperienced, so could also be a matter of not having an understanding of things if they did agree prior to purchase and realising afterwards they've bitten off more than they can chew --- pure speculation of course, with no real basis).

Hang on, be careful here matey,
Something is jumping out to me here, and it is "let me relist the item, and then I will refund you, once I get paid - if it sells, because I have spent the money that you sent and can't refund the order.
I assume that some time has already passed since you payed for this item. It is very important that you DO NOT let 40 - 45 days pass before you take any action, as after 45 days, you will have absolutely no recourse through PayPal to recover your money if for some reason the seller doesn't refund you voluntarily.
The item may not sell again in a suitable time frame. Then how is the seller going to refund you, even if he is genuine?
I've had 4 packages arrive from the US this week, so USPS is definitely still posting here.
I have no idea what has happened to you, it may be a mess up, it may be the seller is trying to delay you past the 45 days, it may be he spent the money and now can't afford to ship it to you and is trying to buy some time. You may know some of these answers, but I don't, and I think they are largely irrelevant at this point anyway. did he give you a tracking number and were you able to track it at any time?
What you need to do is to make sure that you protect yourself. No matter how nice this seller is. (unless you can afford to lose the money, but it sounds like a lot.)
So, without knowing any other details, it is my suggestion that you work out when 40 - 45 days from payment was, and if you have not received your refund by then, to open an Item Not Described case with PayPal and escalate it to a claim as soon as you can.
DO NOT LET THE SELLER NUDGE YOU ALONG PAST THE 45 DAYS!
It doesn't matter how great the story is, I am pretty certain that PayPal will stand firm on that deadline, and after that, unless you can get a chargeback through the bank, you have buckleys of ever seeing that money again.

*nods*
agrees with Digi
either that, or being inexperienced have misquoted you the postage, and when they went to send it, it was way more than they could afford.

are you in a position to send the money for postage? Then hope that the seller passes the refund back to you when he receives it?
Remember though, keep an eye on that time limit of 40 - 45 days
