what do you do when you know ebay is protecting a scammer

I am a seller and buyer, i recently bought computer off seller did not offer paypal did bank transfer to cut story short ,ebay gave contact information ph number disconnected,  abn is not registered to this person, seller changed his bank details  i kept my original purchase order via email when i clicked view order details the original bank transfer details changed to another account number?? this was after i contacted my bank to try and get my money back, got ebay to investigate and ask for contact information again yet new contact details are also disconnected what the.....this seller has 800 feedback all are positive yet the week i purchased there was 3 negative yet there now all gone ebay removed them, can we name and shame the culprites

Sounds like they hi-jacked the account.     Never pay by bank deposit.

There's no protection for buyers.

Go to ACORN (online fraud squad) and they should be able to trace the original owner of the bank account you paid into because they can't open a bank account without providing proof of who they are, or shouldn't be able to.

ACORN doesn't need to give you the details of their investigation but they would have more power than anyone else to access the seller's details.
