won an item 24 hrs later when going to make payment ............
This turn up ............
This listing was removed by eBay. If you already paid for the item, we recommend that you wait 10 days from the expected delivery date to see if the item arrives. If you did not pay, you are no longer obligated to pay for this item. If you have a problem with the purchase, you can resolve the problem by filing a claim through our resolution centre.
My understanding is the seller can only pull out of a auction after closing by contacting the buyer......???
My thought seller didn't get price wanted for the item ...so cried to e-bay with a story ........
not happy jan .........

Not necessarily - I've had a listing removed because it was an (accidental) duplicate of one I already had up. All sorts of reasons why ebay might remove some but not all of a seller's listings, and ebay are also quite capable of mistakenly taking down a listing. (Another example, maybe the seller copied a description from another seller's listing, and that seller complained.)
Definitely ebay's doing, and not an action by the seller.
But I agree, if the listing is fraudulent you might expect all the seller's listings to go. (But it's very hard to understand the mind of ebay trust and safety, partly because they don't want us to because then we might be able to rort the system). They obviously had a problem with that particular listing, but you'll probably never know what it was...

OP - follow the advice in the message, nothing much anyone here can do - as stated this has been removed by eBay, and for whatever reason, they are trying to protect you or the seller.
