Do not understand why multiple listings are allowed. Item description & listing price state one thing, then suddenly become far more expensive when you go to purchase. extremely deceptive advertisng.

Fully agree. I will cancel my account too as I am so sick and tired of this **bleep** (seller multi-listing abuse). It's been going on for quite some time now and eBay have done nothing to steem the tide. Disgusting. Where are the government watchdogs when you need them?

so instead of buying items which I wanted to do I end up reading this and deciding it just got too hard after scrolling thru page after page of stupid multi listed items of $1 to ???

i would think that this would be globally solved by having the seller enter each option as its own product+price first like any other listing with no options excluding quantity discounts.
Under strict circumstances a seller then can construct a new priceless listing to group product variants and related products together in a new landing page for that product group but displayed like a product with options.
Advertisements only ever come from individual product+price entry's. When a potential buyer clicks through ads for a product ebay itself decides if the user should be taken to the product page directly or put them on the related landing page with that product+options pre selected.
