wrong item sent, TWICE!

i keep aquarium fish so i buy aquarium items often

so i ordered a new filter unit from a seller on ebay only for it to arrive and its the wrong unit!

very annoying of course

 

the thing is its the second time ive had exactly the same mistake by 2 different sellers

odere a particular filter unit and recieve the wrong one!

 

i like to have the same unit in all my tanks so spares ect are easily exchanged between units

 

now once again i have to return this wrong unit and hope i get the correct one as a return!

Perhaps take a photo of an existing filter you have and message the seller with it prior to purchasing to confirm they're going to send the correct one.

Possibly same seller with same product and same inventory error. They all cut and paste their suppliers information without checking. Sounds like a Red Herring..

been in contact via phone

its a real shop in queensland

guy phoned me and said i'm the 3rd customer who was sent the wrong filter by a 'staff member'

as it was a free post item hes trying to work out a way to return it 

it was delivered by australia post

it weighs about 5kg so postage might be a lot? country sa to queensland

If it's UNDER 5kg, depending on size it could go flat rate. But that's his problem. If it was indeed a staff member it's between the boss and the (ex) employee.

The shop bears the responsibility for the wrong filter.

ive used australia posts parcel postage calculator and with signature from me to brisbane its $42

i'm not covering that

 

so what happens with an item sent free post when you need to return it

i can easily take it to a post office and fork out the cash to send it back but how do i get re-embursed?
