My Rudi

My Rudi passed last year and he was 17.  I got him as a kitten and out of  the litter he leapt 

into my arms, so it was instant love. 

He was a big gentle bear of a cat and never drew his claws,not even at the pesky dogs.  As I also have dogs when 

'friends' dogs visited they would look at Rudi and grin with anticipation but Rudi would just jump onto 

something high and gaze at them indifferently and they soon lost interest. 

The dogs slept (sleep) in the spare room but Rudi had the bed.  It was his.   He would go in and 

then when I didn't follow soon he would keep coming up into the loungeroom and go Yow telling 

me to hurry up and join him.  He purred like a tractor.

wow I see why you say he was a bear of a cat, Bright, he was bigger than the dogs.

My eyes misted over a bit when I read your story about him.

Bright, Rudi and dogs look so comfortable together on the bed.

I can tell he was one of the most lovely cat in the world by just looking the pics.

I think if you are ready to get another kitten your dogs will be ok with it because they have lived with a cat already and your cavi is a girl. She can be a mum for a kitten.

I can't tell you how much I miss having a cat, but i now have a new dog as the cavalier in that photo 

also passed, and this new girl Charlotte is cat mad.  Goes crazy. I have 2 dogs and daycare another one, 

so that's 3, and I think another animal might be a bit much. 

So I just loving being on this forum. 

Yumi your Blanket reminds me of Rudi so much.
