Buyer just messaged to say he bid not expecting to win. He was the only bidder. He wants to pay in instalments. Is that even an option or should I just cancel the sale and block him?
Thanks in advance.

They can use zippay or what ever the Ebay approved thingy is.
Personally I would wait out the 4 days, cancel as buyer not paid, give him a strike, block them. Move on.
You don't want their headaches. If they dont have the funds, they shouldnt bid. They sound sus anyhow, bid expecting not to win, dodgy as.

Buyers can pay in 4 instalments, I believe, by using Afterpay or Zip or PayPalโs 4-in-1.
The seller must receive the payment in one lot.
Soโฆ itโs irrelevant to the seller how the buyer pays, because the seller is paid in full. If the buyer doesnโt honour the transaction, itโs the financial institution that will come after the buyer.
Tell the buyer that they can use an instalment payment method as outlined in eBayโs Hoe to Pay help page; it isnโt something you organise yourself and itโs not as though they can slip you the cash in four envelopes. The buyer has 4 days to pay (with Zip, for instanceโฆ).
