Hi does anyone know what this beer mug is? age? country?

I have this old beer mug and know nothing about it. Would apprecate some leads

I would assume German stoneware; it may have had a metal lid, which would account for the hole in the handle (where the lid arm would have attached.) Obviously half a litre. If you google "stoneware stein  tavern" you will find many similar with tavern scene decoration. There is a whole page of stoneware stein marks here

if you look through you may find something similar to the stamps on the bottom of your mug.

Oh thanks so much i was mystified by the marks and couldnt seem to see anything on the net about them 🙂

Well no luck on that site and did heaps of googling. Yes i did think there would have been a lid because of the hole. Thanks again for the information
