How is everyone?

((big hugs to all too))

I feel so lucky to have Vic home and comparativly well again. He's a bit cross with the hospital for painting the worst case scenario for me a cpl of weeks ago and upsetting me!
of course, when faced with problems I do tend to panic a little, even down to phoning our Real Estate agent to see if we can get the tenants out of my mum's nice flat, no stairs, townhouse!!!
(they have a lease till April).

well he is much improved, walking around at home OK, has a few sleeps during the day, but so so much improved on 2 weeks ago.โ™ฅ

.seeing his Brain Surgeon again Friday week.

{{BIG HUGS}} to everyone needs one.

Granny, sorry to hear about b-i-l but why won't men listen to good advice! :_|

Erica, best wishes for your results to be not what you are dreading.

Miss L, if Les needs the wheelchair - great! At least it will give him mobility and freedom to move around the house and garden. Better than being stuck in one place.

Lyndel, that good news about Vic improvement. I hope all goes well with the surgeon next week too.

Lucky you Wilma!! Enjoy the concert tonight. ๐Ÿ™‚

Erica, my fingers are crossed for you. Hope the GS is a ripper, you don't see a lot of old cockies sales anymore.

Les uses a walker in the house but does not have the stamina to use it outside. He is ok, like you Erica, he says there are folk much worse off than he is. I had to change motels in Melbourne Wilma, had to book a disabled room, they are dearer than a normal room, that sucks.LOL

Granny it is hard to face someone that is very ill, I hope your hubby goes to see him. I put off going to see my friend Judy, the day before I was going, she died, will regret that forever.

It is a beautiful day here, sun is shining, no wind, have a good one folks.

they charge extra for a disabled room!!! That is disgusting.
Hospitals sometimes present worst case scenarios as sometimes worst case scenarios happened and people say they weren't prepared. I on the other hand prepare for worst case all the time.the down side of anxiety. I understand when people say some people have it worse, but you are allowed every now and then an indulgent sulk, then you get over it and move on. i think you are all wonderful.
Our son is slowly coming around and that beautiful loving blonde blue eyed curley hair boy is coming back. I take each moment with joy and appreciate it for what it is. We are so blessed to have a great family ( and I am the inlaw) and friends supporting all of us.

Just letting you know that you can get assistance through VPTAS,(Victorian patient transport assistance scheme).

They will reimburse you for transport costs and accommodation if you have to travel to some appointments.

It's worth checking out.

They can take months to reimburse you but it's nice getting it back in your pocket.

Tazz I get that, thanks, shouldn't have complained should I I found out about it by accident, someone should tell you this stuff when you first have to travel.LOL.

It just sounds unfair that first you have a disability, and then, it costs you more. We go to Melbourne 4 times a year, have to stay overnight, lucky to get cheque for last one before we go again.
