Here I sit in Redcliffe at my SIL's house, BIL is at work, due home after 6 and before 7, SIL is doing a pet/house sit and won't be here until tomorrow night. OH is watching Tv downstairs, both the doggies are having an after dinner snooze and the pussy cat has gone to bed. So here I sit with the laptop, could really do with a cold beer, or a glass of red, just about anything would do.
We arrived at about 5.20 yesterday, just in time for a hasty clothes change and jump in SIL's car for the trip to the station to catch a train into the city to see John Farnham. Well we made the train connection with a bit of a run at the finish, but we made it. Had a bit of a walk from the station to the concert centre, got misplaced a couple of times, finished up getting a ride in a rickshaw type bicycle powered thing, was a laugh and a great way to finish the journey. Made the concert hall and our seats in the middle of the row, with about 5 minutes to spare. Once the concert starts, they close the doors and you wait until half time.
I enjoyed the concert, first half was an old time set and songs, second half was more upmarket set, lighting and the Whispering Jack album. Never having seen him perform live I had nothing to compapre it to, but hell it was good, really enjoyed it.
We arrived home about 12.30. SIL has now suggested that if she gets special tickets to Rod Stewart at the Entertainment Centre next year, would I be interested - well is the Pope a Catholic, only trouble is we think it will be in March, and March is my holiday time down South.
Will keep you posted.
Today we went to the Gun Club, results are not good, matter of fact they are terrible, hopefully tomorrow will be better.
On the way back we called at at Salvos Shop, 3 garage sales and Antique shop and Aldis.
All up the trip is going well, more later.
Wilma.
