It is now 4.30p.m. and our Street party is scheduled to commence in 1 hour. The food I am sharing has been made and is in the refrigerator, the plastic glasses are unpacked, napkins folded and ready, plates are stacked, Neil is getting the ice, I think/hope all is ready, we just need the guests/participants.
How many will there be, well who would know, certainly not me, I am only the venue provider. I have 3 bottles of different reds from 2000 to 2011 vintages, depending what my friend would like to drink there should be at least one that is suitable.
Could well be a pretty good night.
Roll on 5.30.

Well our orphans came over for a baked dinner last night. And there wasnt a crumb left. Simple baked lamb , heaps of veges and gravy, apple crumble and ice cream. They ate all their veges. I made them all turn off their mobiles . Thats the rule and we sat and just talked. Sent them home with bananas mangos and porrige and the address of the youth team so one can have his anxiety address..he is skin and bones and doesnt sleep and the other PTSD from the gunshots to her house over her mothers drugs when she was a kid. So we are booked for post boxing day christmas celebrations. I wanted to buy them a little pressie. There are baths sets and deodorant sets I can get. Though on the practical side............hmmm need to think.

I am sorry to hear about Les. They should keep him pain free and comfortable.

I hope they have chairs that turn into beds so if linda wants to stay the night she can.

Les is pain freee and comfortable, he will simply stop breathing, when he is ready. I decided to come home at night Lee, because Oscar is fretting and Les would want me to look after him.

I'm so sorry for you Miss L. Tough doing this just before Christmas too. I wish I lived closer so I could help you somehow. You give Oscar some good cuddles tonight as he will feel your pain too.
Thinking of you and sending ((BIG HUGS)). :-x

its strange as it always reminded me of waiting for a baby to be born. I am glad he is comfortable and in no distress. In situations like this there are no right or wrongs and you do what you need to do or what Les would want you to do.Just like you cant put a time frame on a baby arriving , you cant on a person leaving. He will go when he is ready.

Oh Dear ๐ - I've been soooo "out of the loop" for so long ~~ I couldn't try or even hope to put my feelings into words on this topic tonight ๐

Miss Linda,
What can I say, Les was the nicest person, full of life, always had a smile on his face and the devil in his eyes, the two of you always made us so welcome. Our sincere condolences to you and the family.
