I, among 31 other buyers have been sold a countefeit 1938 crown coin. I do not lknow if any of thesepeople are aware they did buy a fake.
the coin is a plated or painted silver over brass, and weighs 10.28% ligher than it should.
He is operating through two different accounts, with the same fakes as we speak.

OK why haven't you given him feedback so at least others can be warned about the fake coins?
And can you give an item number so we can have a look?

In order to prove the coin to be a fake, the thin upper layer of fake silver had to be removed, and thus the coin was rendered "not as received." So in returning I would loose the money and the coin.
His plead to send it back was suspicious, and his apology did not come over sincere either. That is why I have not taken further action.
Usually a negative feedback disappears after a short while, and being new myself, I should have read peoples negative feed back which I now do but is not either nor seem effective or appropriate.
Normally I leave positive feedback, even when I am not totally happy, but when I see a repetition's in ripping people off, I am not so sure if I am doing the right thing. Well, most people learn what the other person is like, and I would never do business again with these individuals, but after too many negatives they start again under an other account.

Between the 2 accounts they have sold 57 of the 1938 crown's and if they're all to be found fake then I hope that most if not all of the buyers realize the coins are fake and do report them to ebay and do leave negative feedback because the more that do report the better the outcome will be and if they do get suspended from selling on ebay it will be very hard but not impossible to start selling again.

Just by looking at all the coins sold I'm 99.99% sure that they're fakes as there are some easy to spot differences between the real and the fake coins and most of the other buyers have given positive feedback and are not aware they may be fakes.
Personally if I purchased a 1938 Crown no matter what condition it was in from fine to UNC I would have expected to pay at least 3 times the price those coins sold for,so to me the seller was all to happy to receive the amounts they did.
The 1938 Crowns have differences between the fakes and the real coins just by looking and that is in the date 1938,weight and the positioning of some of the lettering and by looking at those coins it clearly shows the dates are different shapes and some lettering are in the wrong position.
And if you do happen to buy a coin then weighing it will determine if it is fake and also to test the silver all you need to do is put some ice on the coin and if it melts instantly then it's real/genuine.

In future, only buy rare coins from recognised dealers and be prepared to pay a realistic price.
Otherwise, you stand a really good chance of ending up with junk like this.

seems the same dealer is still selling these fake 38 crowns under 2 different accounts. All we can do is report it but it always comes down to buyer beware in the 2nd hand market. Proberly more like copper based coins than majority silver with these fakes from China

I'm just amazed how people are still buying from this seller because there's a buyer who has left negative feedback stating the coins are fake but people are still buying them lol.

Again this fake coin is on Ebay by sellers who have sold already a number of these similar coins as seen in their feedback
Is no body taking responsibility?
This is also going on with the 1934/35 centenary florin at the moiment.
