On the right is Qing dynasty. (1644 - 1912)

On the left we think it is the king to determine the year but can't make it out.

Will ask someone, they may know.

I am told it is the second emperor of the Qing dynasty, pinyin huรกngtร ijรญ 1626 - 1643

So if this item's marks are correct you could have a piece nearly 400 years old.

Possible, but the crazing, fading of colour and aging on the brass rings look authentic to me.

But difficult to say without seeing it for real.

400 years old is nice but not rare for Chinese or Japanese items.

Unless one has providence of it belonging to a famous person.

Thanks, the jar has a diameter of 90 mm, if it was real is there any dollar range it can fall into?

I know it's purely subjective but even a ball park figure is better than nothing.

I can translate but not good at valuing antiques.

I often google for similar items but in this case it's probably worth finding out if it's genuine and a value.

Best to find a Chinese antiques dealer in your capital city and go from there.

Email the pics to a dealer. Smiley Wink
