I recently received an "old" watch, it is running perfectly etc, and I am totally happy with it, so no dramas there, but I suspect that it may have been made waaayyyyy back in 1928ish - which isn't a problem, but it'd be pretty cool to know it was made back then.
It looks like it has come from a collector and has never been used, the only thing that gives a hint to its age is the original packaging which has faded a fair bit, and the fact that 1928 is written on the watch face as a feature.
TIA

is it branded on the face or elsewhere ? some makers are fairly well documented and collectors have catalogues /lists etc. 'Watchuseek' and ' http://www.chrono24.com/ are a couple of places to start.

oh , and '1928' was a jewellery company. so it might be the brand.
