Hi - I would like some help in identifying makers mark on a  Japanese (I think?) porcelain bowl that I have.  Any help would be appreciated.

Japanese Porcelain bowl - identifying makers mark.

This is in Chinese and means 'highest peak' or highest mountain.

So could be used as 'Excellence' if it is not the name of the company.

Japan does use Kanji, which is just the Chinese script.

Correct, I should have mentioned that.

Japan will often use Katakana and Hiragana amongst the Kanji characters.

My Chinese friend felt this was more likely Chinese.
