Purchased this wonderful antique piece from a Deceased Estate sale, a piece of paper inside states that it is a “Ladies 19th Century Dance Card Container”, I remember my Grandmother having one of these but not nearly so ornate. Appears to be Tortoiseshell to front of the container and gold tone to both back and inside container, no markings at all.
Any help would be gratefully received.
