Pics are not cut off if you click the little arrowhead next to the paperclip and view the photo from there
GLENWOOD POTTERY operated from the 1950s in Mona Vale (Sydney).
They made slip cast vases decorated with geometric designs or hand painted with gilt patterns
the mark is slightly different to that shown in Ford's Encyclopaedia of Aust Potters Marks but looks very similar.

Thanks SO much Putney, I havent heard of Greenwood pottery before and couldnt make out the mark.
Not much info on it online, will take a punt at what its worth?!
Anyone know what the other one is? There is a very faint circular makers mark but I can't see what that says either.

Cornwell's Brunswick? It looks the right shape for their mark and it looks a bit like their glazes and construction.

Well thats VERY interesting, I had no idea that Cornwell's had a pottery in Brunswick
Interesting because Cornwell is my maiden name and my family there lived in Pascoe Vale
co-incidence?? hmm havent heard of a pottery in the family though...

Found another picture online of the makers mark which matches the one on my vase.
It is indeed a Cornwells piece!! Thank you for finding this out
Next I am going to find out if we are related to Alfred Cornwell!!
