Silkstone Barbie Fashion Model comes in a plastic wrap??

Hi Is anyone able to tell me why the last few Silkstone Barbie  Models' I have bought NIB come wrapped in plastic under their clothes? Its as if its a factory error, the doll is perfect and wrapped in a heavy plastic body suit then the clothes have been put on top. Everything else seems to be in order, but surely it is not meant to be like that. Specifically the 2014 release of the Fiorella Barbie doll and the 2013 release Barbie Cocktail Dress doll.

Sorry - way outside my knowledge area. However this site (and several other comments found while Googling)

suggests that it is now standard from the factory, presumably to protect the body of the doll.

Just added some new pics of BFMC Fiorellla and BFMC Dulcissima. See product descriptions.

Fiorella looks as good as the prototype. Her body is covered by a heavy plastic wrap so it’s hard to move her legs and arms. Get rid of it and protect your doll with thin plastic wrap used for food. Jewelry is superb and hair is soft and shinny."
