Vase

Please can anyone identify this vase? I will post the base with part of a label, too hard to read but has in incised fish mark.

Hi Pat, just so you know you can just select reply in the original thread to put additional info or pics rather then starting new threads.

Avoids confusion if multiple members are replying.

Here is the base from the other thread -

Hi Kopenhagen, Thank you for that information. The only reason that I have posted twice is that I do not know how to put both photos in the one post.Perhaps someone can explain how and I can try it the next time. When I go to attachments only one photo comes up.

Any help or information is much appreciated. Patricia.

Don't use the 'attachments'.

Some people won't click on it anyway.

To post photos - and more than one in the same post.

add photo.jpg

Stating the obvious but it would be useful to try and decipher the label - as you have it to hand, you have the advantage here. ?eorge? Maybe a new word ??? ge? Even if it just the name of the retailer it may help. I wouldn't think a foil label like that would be earlier than 1960s ?

Yes, trying to decipher the label has been driving me nuts.

Agree about 1960's

I see George Berger or Belger.

But wouldn't the label be a retailer ?

Or in this case there is a Belger Arts, sellers of art ?
