What I've found in December! :-)

At the end of another year and it's been noticeably quiet here on the board this year. I guess another sign that this place isn't what it used to be. :_|

I'm not collecting much now but this arrived a few days ago - 330828473325. I do have one other I found last year that has more detail on it and is marked with the names of the 'owners', not Lyndale/Rosedale/Roselyn. This isn't marked but it was a BARgain. :-x

My New Year Resolution will be to post more often.  I read the Chat Lines daily, sometimes more often if I am following a discussion, but don't have nearly enough to say - boy are you all in for a treat!!!  Well I am gunna try and do that, not saying I will be totally successful.

Nice jug Mon, and a great price as well.

That's a quirky little jug Mon, I like it.

Can't believe it's the start of December. Put a small tree up  today.  Hannah and I are going to decorate it tomorrow, with decorations we bought at the oppies, what fun it was finding them.

How you doing Wilma?  We should all post more often, and I will try next year too Wilma.  Ebay have just about ruined our Board, but, we are all pretty resilient....look at Wilma the Witch.

Remember the year we sent a Christmas Card around the country, the very ugly DD's, should be careful in case Kate is around, haha  It's nearly Christmas and I have an idea....LOL

Love your "idea" Miss Linda, have added just a little bit to it.  I am fine, procedure went well and I should have much a better functioning right kidney.  Will have a function test in the next couple of weeks and let you know the result.  We will be down to see you in March or at least we are planning on it and looking forward to it.

Hi Mon,

I remember the Worthinton and Comber jug that you found and I recognise this one. Congratulations on getting a pair and both at fantastic prices if I remember correctly.

Two is always better than one in my books !!

I think that from the foliage which look like oak leaves and acorns that it is a squirrel and not a possum. Is that from your British roots??

Great find,

Pip

Pip, i think (with nothing to back it up at the moment)  Mon's jug a copy of a Sylvac piece?

Thanks for that link Tim, I hadn't known the connection with SylvaC. 🙂

The first jug I got with Worthington & Comber on it has the same decoration as the SylvaC with the 'extra' leaves and branches.  The one I got last week doesn't have that and the squirrel (NOT possum) isn't as defined as the first. No markings so it's also possible that someone else copied SylvaC.

Pip, I also have a standing squirrel figurine that was made here too but haven't seen one for sale as yet.
