@ Kat - sorry to hear re: broken pieces.
Anyway, here's my latest find. Bought this on eBay. Looking for another one to match. If anyone has one for sale or anything interesting, please let me know. I'm still trying to find those rarer Walther pieces but with no luck 😞
Cheers

oh yes heiner, he is an inkwell and a pretty one too!!
what I've found in July? a laptop. 3 months with no computer in the house was 'interesting' everytime I wanted to check emails or ebay I had to drive the 2.5km to the old house where the old computer was still connected to the Inet.
however, Vic and I have decided to stay put here at mum's unit for the time being, even though it is small (bit too small), and we'll have to store some of our collectables, so old house is sold (settlement in Sept), storage booked and the removalists will clear out the old house next week.
Then...... I have the task of putting as many items as I can into the cabinets we fit in here!!!!!
His health has deteriorated somewhat, and at present he's having both chemo and radiotherapy, administered by a drip in his arm.. the chemo bottle stays on for 21days at a time, then a break, then another 21 days....
we're doing OK, he loves living here, nice little garden, and when his inkwells are all in the loungeroom next week he'll be even happier! sold a heap of his books, but we cant keep everything.
lovely to be 'back on eBay'. and although this is my first ever laptop, i'm slowly getting used to it after 15 or more years using a PC
I'm really tooooo old for all these changes!!!

Best wishes to Vic, Lyndel. That doesn't sound like much fun. 😮
Glad you're back on line on a regular basis. You'll soon get used to the laptop. I love mine.

hi chappies,
My MIL lost her old dog about eight months ago and OH and I bought a pup about five months ago and house trained it etc... for a week, with the thought of giving it to her as a little companion - all the while keeping a healthy emotional distance apart so as not to become attached ourselves - hah..... fat chance
She flatly refused to take him and we were so happy.
I think he is seriously cute
