First day of autumn and it's wet and miserable here in Sydney. X-( Just heard we've had the wettest summer in five years. WHAT summer??
Who will be first in with a find?

for Granny:
The little snuff bottles are very collectable in their own right particularly if they are the red ones [Cinnabar] and the mark on the base is known as a Chop ./ or a Seal. .
Nice find.

Picked these few things up during the past week.
The Crown Crystal Waratah square salad bowl was not cheap BUT I think a good buy.The
McCredie again was also a more than I would pay,but never seen one with a fixed frog inside.
Waratah vase think is a hobby ceramics, that was very cheap and for my own collection, signed Joan 87.
Royal Doulton Tobacco Jar would like some help on the age as I cannot find the back stamp anywhere

Wow Granny, you have been busy. Love the Waratah bowl, let me know when you want to find a new home for it, would look good with my collection, that is if I can find a cabinet to display it.
Wilma.

Thank you Wilma,I love the bowl as well.
Missed putting up photo of this Kookaburra,it was in my handbag.
What is it used for?
My thought was a bottle holder to stand on your table during a meal.

The square Waratah bowl is a good find Granny, i've found only 2 waratah pattern bowls in the last few years and they were both the square one.

This is something that I have always wanted to find as I have seen it so many different pieces on Antiques Roadshow and the occasional battered bit in auction. An Archibald Knox designed piece of pewter for Liberty and Co. I picked it up today at a second hand shop, I am friends with the owner and he asked me after I bought it how much is it really worth and I just smiled. Cheers Billy
