I would really appreciate any help with this.
All I know is that it is now 3.5 generations old. It doesn't have any markings. The back is plain. TIA.

Any markings inside the bell.....possibly impressed markings?

No, none that I can see unfortunately.

I used to have a B & M back in the late 70's/early 80's and it looks an awful like the ones I used to sell.
They carried a gold paper sticker that announced loud and clear - Made in Taiwan - mass marketed way back then.
But it depends, I guess.....how long is 3.5 generations to you?

It belonged to the grandmother of a 45 year old. No information has been passed down. (well it went the first 2 generations)

And I'll embarrass myself and ask, what is B&M? (Ducking for cover)

I had to look it up myself. I was curious because I collect ceramic objects too.

Nooooo. Bricks and Mortar shop.
Like a real shop, guys.
I sold antique and vintage china - with some new collectables thrown in.
Like Salt and pepper sets, bells, boots - things like that.
Taiwan was the major supplier in those days. (And I always removed the label - norti, norti)
Snobby antique dealers used to call what I sold 'smalls'
Grandmother to a 45 yo could still have bought it in the 80's.
Doesn't mean it's worthless - just need to find the right buyer is all.
Unless I'm totally wrong and someone knows better (I'm fine with that)

Shop.
Grandmother of a 45 year old possibly born in the 1920s so maybe bought the bell from the 1930s-1940s.
My guess is that Stawks is correct.....it is not an enormously good item.....the china is a bit rough with uneven thickness around the edges.
