Could this be a case where children may well be better off taken now and adopted into a family who can care for them? Scant information but it doesn't look promising for this little guy 😞 (I have removed any identifying details) Queensland
Baby on father's lap as he flees police before being dumped
A ONE-YEAR-OLD boy has allegedly been dumped by his father after a high speed pursuit with police this morning.
Police said the father, aged in his late 20s, was spotted by officers just after 9am in a car allegedly stolen yesterday.
Police say they saw the child sitting in the man's lap as he fled from police at high speed.
It's believed he and another man in the car had been committing a number of break and enters in the Edens Landing area overnight and this morning.
The father allegedly dumped the car at the local State School leaving his baby behind with the other man.
The man and baby were located by police and taken to the Police Station.
Police said the baby was distressed and covered in faeces.
The little boy remains in the care of officers at the Station who said they were currently buying nappies and clean clothing for the child.
The baby's father is now assisting police with their enquiries.
It's understood the baby's mother was appearing in court this morning on an unrelated matter.

Some people just don't deserve to have children.

Hard to say until we know why she was appearing in court - she might even have been applying for a restraining order.

because I don't want to perpetuate the id'ing. Locally, people are playing the "area" card................the thinking seems to be that you are only bad people if you live in a particular place?
I don't think the mother was getting a restraining order, btw

Nor do I Az., but without knowing the details nobody should be prepared to rush into judgement.
