Well my question in the OP remains .... what positive things have they done ? What can we applaud ? What can anyone, even in a bi-partisan way, be proud of ?
I would have thought that in these first days we would have had at the least some sort of "road map" but it seems that even vague promises are beyond them. We do however see the continuing of the negative slogans and mantras. Abbott even did this when announcing $80M of funding for cancer drugs - had a go at the previous Government rather than tell the truth.
Anyone ... please ...

Well no, if someone backflips, they end up in exactly the same position. Think about it.

Please, Karen, pronounce it as abbott does (it must be right), Guardjin.

Coalition ‘never had a policy of towing boats back’, says Scott Morrison
Bow ripped off asylum boat as Customs attempted to tow it
November 19 2013
A spokesman for Immigration Minister Scott Morrison has not responded to requests for information on the incident.
The 40 passengers are understood to be from Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Late on Tuesday morning, Labor Senator Kim Carr asked Customs chief Mike Pezzullo about the incident in a Senate estimates hearing.
Mr Pezzullo said he was unable to give any information, saying it was a matter for Operation Sovereign Borders, whose commander Lieutenant-General Angus Campbell will face the hearing on Tuesday afternoon.
The threat of turning boats back to Indonesia when it is safe to do so has been a highly controversial plank of the Coalition's border protection policy.
Labor has argued that the practice can never be safe because of the poor condition of most asylum-seeker vessels and the risk that the passengers and crew will deliberately sabotage their own boats.
Did Scott Morrison get it wrong and blame the media?
If a tow back happened and the failure of a tow back was considered to be a matter for 'Operation Sovereign Borders'
