100 days of a new Government

I seem to remember that the media writes up a "report card" on an incoming Government after 100 days in office.

It's coming up soon and I can't for the life of me think of any positive achievement from these muppetts.

They still are acting as if they are in Opposition.

Anyone ?

Even I am a little bewildered about the gonski funding and the promise that was made by Tony Abbott, feeling a bit let down but the only thing I can understand is that the Labor government removed $1.2 billion from the education budget before the last election which leaves a HUGE short fall in the promiseed funding, when it failed to clinch "better schools" deals with Western Australia, Queensland and the Northern Territory.

So is C P fully to blame for this change ?

The money wasnt removed from education, they've already explained that the money was set aside for the states who hadn't signed to Gonski. They would have received their normal funding increases, so the extra wasnt required to implement Gonski in those states.

Mr Abbott maintains the Coalition is upholding its election commitment, saying it promised to match the funding total, NOT the model used to distribute it.

"Under the Coalition, schools will get the same quantum of funding over the four years that they would have under Labor had it been re-elected. In fact, they will get a little bit more,"

When questioned Opposition Leader Bill Shorten brushed off questions about whether the previous government moved the $1.2 billion of funding out of the education budget.

So are they not all tarred with the one brush ?

its hard to do both . if they moved 1,2 out but went with the funding promised its a huge increase not a loss to the system. pyne's trying to cover his backside with that.
