OK, another poetry competition ... original poems welcomed, poems written by others are accepted.
The winner will be decided by kudos received, there will be also be a Judge's Prize decided by the judge. The judge is ME.
I hate my little unit,
The layout is quite stupid
The sound of traffic going past
Might make me quite insane at last.
The neighbours mow their lawns
At seven in the morns
And all of them choose a different day
To take my sleep away.

Hey hang on, wait for me ....... have to put in one of
Will Shakespeare which I love
I know a bank where the wild thyme blows,
Where oxlips and the nodding violet grows,
Quite over-canopied with luscious woodbine,
With sweet musk-roses and with eglantine:
There sleeps Titania sometime of the night,
Lullโd in these flowers with dances and delight;

Thanks, Bluecat and TGSE ...
One of the things I like about poems is the ability to express so much in so few words.
Better still is HAIKU http://examples.yourdictionary.com/examples-of-haiku-poems.html
Falling to the ground,
I watch a leaf settle down
In a bed of brown.

I loved your Fathers Day one Katy. It did remind me of my dad and the beetroot that he was so proud of. He died last year but his garden is still carefully tended by his wife now.
