True, you do need some training to operate something like that, BUT do not forget that every reasonably fit young man in the former Soviet union spends 2 years in the army.  It is not impossible that some of the rebels have enough knowledge to operate such launcher.  Not to mention that there have been suggestions that Russians sent an expert to teach them the basics of  how to operate it.  The rebels have shot down about 50 military planes with the smaller missiles (3 000ft.) so the Ukrainain supply planes started to fly higher, out of reach.  While it is most likely that the BUK came from Russians, there is always the chance it was acquired from the Ukraine; they also have them in their **bleep**nal.  The rebels managed to get their hands on many eapons that way. 

OMG!  it bleeped out ar*enal   !!!  LOL

What happened is a tragedy, as any plane crash is. BUT it was an accident, there is no need to start WW3 over it.

I am sure journalists report acurately.....I do not have an issue with them. Much more powerful people than journos have influence over what is finally released as 'news' in the mainstream is what I am saying. Not a conspiracy, a fact.

What are the factual and definitive sources and evidence that deems missing Flight MH370 as a 'MYSTERY'?? and the latest Flight tragedy MH17 as an 'accident'.....that a select few here and in the mainstream media are purporting.

Both were a deliberate criminal act. I do not see any evidence of mysteries or accidents. Both events horrific and unspeakable.

IMO both flights/planes and all aboard shot down.

I believe the figure of 27 Australians is incorrect. It is apparently a higher total.

The number of Australian citizens is correct. There are also a number of Australian permanent residents (i.e they lived here but hold passports from other countries), reported as numbering 8.

these 8 folk could have lived here for many many years....probably as spouses to an Aussie?.....probably worked, paid taxes had family/children.....etc

So the official TOTAL figure of Australian citizens and Australian permanent residents that were shot down is 35.
