God, you lot are shallow! Nearly 300 people lost their lives in this tragedy. As well as a number of number of animals including a St Bernard who was found, where he landed, curled up as if having a nap. Nearly 300 people whose corpses have either been removed to some unknown destination or lie rotting , intact or otherwise, in the sun and rain. Yet you quibble over nationalities and conspiracy theories? Unbelievable. Get your heads out of your backsides FGS.

Alas, Icy, that Lithium  word filter has a  somewhat Victorian code of decency. The word I used was d a m n which, while it might - just - be construed as  milldly blashphemous, could hardly be deemed profane or even offensive by modern standards.

I am sure journalists report acurately.....I do not have an issue with them. Much more powerful people than journos have influence over what is finally released as 'news' in the mainstream is what I am saying. Not a conspiracy, a fact.

How exactly do they prevent news stories from being acurately reported?

And why exactly were they unable to prevent stories about Abu Ghraib or Mai Lei being reported in newspapers all over the world?

I believe only a fraction of these two events were released to mainstream media.  Did you know that a later would-be candidate for POTUS was involved in the My Lai massacre?   No wonder he withdrew.

We are never told the real truth of such incidents.

I doubt if we are ever told the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth about anything.The general public has a very short attention span and once the intial "shock, horror" of the revelations is over they very soon cease to be newsworthy. 

My question was not were we told every last detail about these events but why were THEY unable to prevent the stories we were told being punblished?

On a purely local note, the WA Government made a pretty determined effort to cover up Troy Buswell's little indiscretion, but that didn't dtop the mainstream media winkling out the truth.

Regardless of the why & how this tragedy happened, and the wanting that no-one know what incriminating evidence there is to be found, surely there must be a way these victims can be removed and taken to a 'place' where they can be identified and sent home to their families so that they can be laid to rest with the dignity that is their right.

Wonder what computations am3 used to get a total of 36 from 27 Australian citizens plus 8 Australian permanent residents?

 There is no conspiracy theory regards this event. The fact that there are many nationalities involved is relevant to many. Yes, many, many lives are affected.

Many still living would like to be told the truth instead of lies, propaganda and BS.
