Zac Brown Band - Free/Into The Mystic
(Not for voting, just for enjoyment)
When the fog horn blows I'll be coming home
Yeah, when the fog horn blows I want to feel it
Don't have to fear it
And I want to rock your gypsy soul
Just like way back in the days of old
And together we will flow into the mystic

This version seems to be the same as the Peter Pears recording ‘53. Beautiful recording also available by Bryn Terfel. It’s hard to see why it was considered risqué… but really lovely version.

More alliteration than you can shake a stick at.

Such a powerful song. I know the lyrics include “clouds of mystery”, and I think it’s been misheard quite often as “cloud so misty”. I’d be surprised if CCR didn’t deliberately use “mystery” with subtext “mist-ery” for that image, so I think it does fit the theme.

There were some very atmospheric songs posted! (I admit it; pun intended.)
The winning song was "Play Misty for me." Congratulations to ambercat!
ambercat, the jukebox is in your hands.
(I don't have a jukebox emoticon, and I am too tired to create it now anyway... so I'll use my old phonograph emoticon instead.)
