The three verse single version of the theme from my favourite TV series Fireball XL5 when I was a kid. It's not just the song that means something, it's the actual record too.
I borrowed the record for a week from a friend. Actually the record had belonged to her brother who had moved overseas and left all the stuff he didn't want anymore behind. I actually returned the record two weeks later as the family weren't home at week one. I apologised to my friend's mother about being late. She glanced at the record....and told me I could keep it.
I think I floated home. It was one of the best days ever in my teens. It's still my favourite song.....and it always will be.
If you listen to it, feel free to have a laugh. But nothing can ever change how I feel about it.

I was going to put the Roy Clark version up but saw this one by Buddy Greco.
Yes, we were all young once and I feel a bit sad when I see some oher folk and wonder what they remember and miss.
