Counting Dead Women Australia researchers of Destroy The Joint  have reported that the tally of women who have died a a result of violence this year has now reached 40.

My dealings with the police here have been mostly favourable. The family violence officer was brilliant, the police officers who accompanied the ex each time that he collected his belongings were all very professional and a pleasure to deal with.

No doubt, there are bad cops here,too, but I think, and hope, that they are now in the minority
