40th Birthday present?

This is for my brother who I don't see that often so really have no idea what his interests are so he is always the hardest to buy for at Christmas.

I only want to spend $40.

Any ideas?

Not many clues I can give except:

He's a bit showy. He's a house-husband to babies. Lives in a McMansion. Doesn't really appreciate beautiful or the finer things - more a fake Rolex kind of guy.

I'm stuck.

Re: 40th Birthday present?

or....a beautiful wine glass or set of two, crystal or a snobby name brand type LOL

No he has no taste or class. I chose 2 hideously expensive  but exquisite Stuart Crystal champagne glasses for his engagement (each glass was $150) and I heard back that they thought I was cheap cause I only bought 2 instead of a set of 12. If I'd bought a set of 24 Crystal D'Arque champers set they would have been happier.

And then when my sister visited their house they told her they had re-gifted them. :_|

So anyway you can see why my heart isn't into buying him anything.

Thanks for all the suggestions.

What about a home making beer set thing? Are these expensive and where do you get them from?

BigW, Kmart.

What about a framed pic of his favourite footy team, if he has one.

Awww Martini, that's a shocker about the Stuart crystal.

When we were looking for some good wine glasses for my niece I came across some Swarovski (sp) crystalline stemmed glasses in a jewellers and they were so beautiful.  They would want to be at $600 for a pair.

Re: 40th Birthday present?

What about a wine tasting notebook, then he can big note himself about his wine but you won't have to put in much effort or $$ ๐Ÿ˜„
