Better keep a few "lucky" 5c pieces just for your scratching purposes.

Yes.  Keep some lucky 5 cent pieces.

 

I have about 300 of them in my small change jar if you want some.

 

Other useful tools.  Guitar plectrums and credit cards.  You can even buy a pick punch to make a plectrum out of your credit card.
