500 pigs dying barely rates a mention. Go figure!

Does anyone else find it odd that you cant mention food in any thread on this forum without someone eventually bringing up the issue of halal with the same old (incorrect) facts about cruelty.

And yet 500 pigs die in what had to be the most horrendous circumstances and in a way that highlights the cruelty that these poor animals endure everyday so that aussies can have crispy bacon with their breakfast in the mornings.

But hardly a word gets mentioned.

Odd that.

I am surprised you haven't seen it in the papers or on the news.

Google 500 Pigs and you will get all the info you need.

I think that post is a huge disservice to martini's message.

Cruelty to pigs - not related to Muslims - therefore no outrage. Double  standards from the anti-halal certification brigade.

there really is no comparison considering this was accidental death caused by the break down of the air conditioning system

very small number compared  to the death of 68,000 sheep on the way to the middle east when the ship caught fire and that was one occasion of many

am3 the pigs were not cruelly treated they died because the air con failed and the security firm monitoring the premises did not go to the site to assess the situation,  the staff are devastated that the pigs died.

What does  this say? ( from the opening post).
