the boats travel really fast in order to get the ring thing to fly off the waves.
those 'riding' more like hanging on for dear life, eventually get thrown off.
Same here on the lake and the river where they use ski boats that can get up to 80 kms along with the jet skis
that go flying up and down.
There have been numerous incidents with those riding on them being thrown of hurting themselves simply
because the boat is going to fast and the can't hang on.
